The Claiborne County
EMA has contracted with Emergency
Communications Network, Inc., of Ormond Beach, Florida, for its
"CodeRED" high-speed telephone emergency notification services. The
CodeRED system gives city officials the ability to deliver pre-recorded
emergency telephone notification/information messages to targeted areas
or the entire city. CodeRed and Weather Warn will be available to City
residents and businesses.
CODE RED NOTIFICATION
The CodeRed number on your Caller ID will be 1-800-566-9780 (Emergency
Communications Network). If you see this number it is an emergency
message from the Claiborne County
EMA. The 1-800-566-9780 telephone number
will only show up if it is a CodeRED call from Claiborne
County EMA. (see also weather warning caller ID at bottom).
No one should
automatically assume his or her phone number is
included. All businesses in the city should register, as well as all
individuals who have unlisted phone numbers, who have changed their
phone number or address within the last year, and who use a cellular
phone as their primary home phone. If your phone number is not in the
database, you will not be called.
The information will
only be used for emergency notification
purposes. Questions should be directed to Claiborne County Emergency
Management at 601-437-4684 during the work week, excluding holidays,
Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
